More information about Pinguicula butterwart “gigantea”

Pinguicula gigantea is one of the biggest butterwarts you can grab. Can reach a diameter of 8” when it is mature. The plant you will receive 1 are around 1year to a 1.5 old and a little bigger than a quarter. You will receive one plant similar to the one in the first picture. In healthy condition these prefer to be grown inside with bright window with plenty of sunlight. I grow mine in a kitchen window with a north facing window and they thrive there. Will produce a bigger flower with a lavender color. Has been grown in Canadian long fiber sphaghnum moss.

Plant will be shipped in a plastic Dixie cup with long fiber spaghnum moss around it for safe transportation.

Care Information:
Distilled, reverse osmosis, or rain water only! These plants do NOT tolerate any minerals or nutrients. They can be potted in a mix of peat and perlite, or sphagnum moss. The soil should be kept damp at entire times, but not waterlogged.
