Lovely set of two (2) earthenware midcentury mugs in an “Owl Eyes motif with a tan/gold drip style glaze with brown accents. Reminiscent of Holkham Pottery of England, with their rounded body and round handle, these circa 1960s/1970s mugs measure 3 3/4 tall, 2 ¼ opening, 3 3/4 inches across (including handle) and will hold 8 ounces of your favorite beverage. Marking states “Japan. Please note: These mugs are in remarkably good, used condition, with no cracks, chips, or damage. There is all over crazing, which is normal for pieces of this age. One mug has a small imperfection on the rim. It’s not a chip, just something that happened during manufacture. Please see photos #1, #4, #8, and #9. From a smoke-free, pet-free home.
